What are Epithelial Cells

These form a continuous sheet of cells lining body surfaces such as the skin, gut and trachea (windpipe)

Define Phloem

Specialised tissue found in the vascular bundle that transports dissolved sugars (in the form of sucrose), amino acids, and sometimes other metabolites such as plant hormones.

Name and Explain the two types of phloem cells

sieve tubes (elongated cells arranged end to end that lack a nucleus at maturity) and lying next to each Endodermis (the pericycle is the next layer in) 9 sieve tube cell, a companion cell (that retains all of its organelles and assists with loading sucrose into the sieve tube).
