What is the definition for potential difference?

The difference in electrical energy per unit charge between 2 points in a circuit

How can you determine the emf & internal resistance of a cell?

- Vary current using a variable resistor - Record corresponding values for current and potential difference - Graph potential difference against current - negative gradient = internal resistance - y-intercept = emf y = mx +c V = -rI + E

Explain the shape of a current potential difference graph for a filament bulb

- As potential difference increases, current increases - This causes the temperature to increase - Therefore resistance increases - And rate of change of gradient decreases
