Having fire extinguishers – to get rid of the fire, stopping it from spreading.
Fire doors – hold fire back for an hour, maximum.
Emergency evacuation doors – evacuate the premises quicker.
This injury from a contaminated needle can be prevented, by putting all used or sharp objects into
an appropriate sharps container – preventing risk of anyone getting hurt at any moment.
Having stronger gloves – prevent sharps from coming in contact with human skin.
Salmonella bacteria can spread from animals to humans if hygiene precautions are not followed
through after any handling sessions. Humans can also spread diseases to animals if precautions
are not met before handling.
To prevent this, people in contact with the animals will need to wash or use disinfectant gel on
their hands to get rid of any bacteria.
People tripping or slipping up in the workroom can be prevented, by having a clean
work space, with bags in a specific area of the room or under a table and not lying around the floor.
Being aware of surroundings when any equipment is on the floor out of the way.
Having spillage signs out and in use when needed.
Cleaning up said spillage as soon as possible.
This animal scratch mark may become infected if not treated properly. To prevent any scratch, the person in
question will need to be wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Such as overalls and
possibly gloves if scratching is a regular occurrence of the animal. PPE will protect from scratches, bites and
any sort of bodily excretions. It will also protect the animal from getting caught in our usual clothing. Any
loose jewelry should be removed before handling animals.
