Ureter tubules
1)Bowman’s capsule:is the site where
ultrafiltration occurs. The high blood
pressure allows filtration. Small
soluble molecules are filtered out and
are forced out of capillary pores in Loop of henle
glomerulus (eg:
Glucose,O2,urea,water,salts,amino Collecting duct
acids SO all blood content except To ureter
blood cells-RBCs,WBCs,Platelets-and
plasma proteins like fibrinogen bcz
they are large molecules to pass
through the membrane ) to be
collected in the Bowman’s capsule
2)First coiled tubule/proximal covulated tubule: is the place where
selective reabsorption occurs.Useful molecules like most of glucose is
reabsorbed by ACTIVE TRANSPORT (in which some glucose and O2 are
aerobically respired to release energy), amino acids and salts by
ACTIVE TRANSPORT, and remaining water by osmosis into the blood
