A-level OCR Biology A - Respiration and Photosynthesis Summary side by side
This document contains a short visual summary of aerobic respiration (glycolysis, link reaction, Krebs cycle, oxidative phosphorylation diagram) side by side with the photosynthesis diagram (cyclic and non-cyclic photophosphorylation, photolysis and the light independent stage). Additionally all the names of the compounds and intermediates which need to be known are on there (from spec used in the 2024 exams). I am an A* student (passed my exams in 2024) and stuck this as poster on my wall so I could visually see and remember the similarities and differences between photosynthesis and respiration. It's really helpful especially if you have a little doubt every once in a while. It's also super helpful when learning each process and knowing the order of the steps is very basic but can get confusing. These are not in depth notes but just a great way to remember little details about each process, I highly recommend using this document ! In the document a.a stands for amino acids and E for energy.
