Articles of Incorporation - ANS-Agreement between the state and association - primary
purpose is to protect volunteers/members from individual liability. Includes regulations
for operations and defines assn. purpose, process for appointing directors and the
handling of financial records.

regardless of number of employees, except:

FMLA (Family & Medical Leave Act) - ANS-Applicable to 50+ employees.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides eligible employees with up to 12
weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. It also requires that their group health
benefits be maintained during the leave.
