How does each security risk impact the aviation business?
1.Terrorists- Terrorists mainly target the aviation industry because
of the amount of people travelling in that area and they find it easy
to target aircrafts more as they find it delicate and easy to hijack.
They make passengers vulnerable when they hijack the aircraft. If
an airport or aircraft is hijacked the airline gets effected and less
people will consider travelling with that airline in the future.
2.Public- There are people who have died in demonstration. More
people are against the public rules.
3.Criminals- Criminals who have just escaped prison can be a threat
to the security on the airport.
4.Mentally ill-some people who are mentally ill can violent. They
may not follow rules and may tend to do violent things out of
frustration.
5.Refugees- They tend to be hungry and poor therefore would do
anything to get out of their current circumstances. They could
possibly beg people to take them to other places or might be crazy
enough to do things that might be a risk for their own safety.
6.Asylum seekers- Asylum seekers can be pleading to other people
saying that they might be killed in their own country therefore want
to leave their country. They can be criminals, murderers or people
with no legal documents living illegally in that country.
7.Insiders- They can be someone unhappy with their work and who
are likely to be brainwashed by a radical group. This can be a huge
risk as the staff at the airport have got badges which can be
accessed throughout the full airport which means if the staff is
brainwashed a person can utilise the whole airport.
Although hijackings do not occur as frequently as they once did, the
threat still exists. Hijacking and attacks on the airport can lead
reputation failure of the airport. Secondly chemical attacks on the
ground and in space can release the chemical agents, poisonous
gases, and toxins is a new kind of threat tactic. Use of these to
target aviation could be deadly if released on airport premises or
within a flying aircraft. If suppose there’s a chemical gas left open
the aircraft, passengers get killed if the chemical is dangerous and
there will be loss of profit in the airline and the reputation will be
