Magnification: How many times bigger you make the object.

Resolution: The ability to tell the difference between two different points.

Actual: The material in real life.

Image: The material we can see through the microscope.

The Light (Optical ) Microscope
Pass light through glass lenses in order to magnify the specimen.
Their maximum magnification is x 2000
Used when relatively low magnification and resolution is enough.




Living or live objects can be viewed under a light microscope. E.g. sperm cells.
