Unit 10 - Skills for Land-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities

In this assignment I will describe four different land-based outdoor and adventurous activities and compare and contrast them in a visual representation. Land-Based Activities – what are they? Indoor Rock Climbing, Orienteering, Archery, Assault Course, Comparing, Contrasting and Conclusion.

In this presentation presented you will have to research different activities and describe which of them , like how long it takes, where , how much which equipment do you need etc. In the presentation also includes the different government bodies and different organizations that helps the activities or provide support.

Skills Review Using your experience from when you took part in land based and adventurous activities, you are required to undertake a skills audit. To start you need to jot down your initial thoughts on your strengths and areas that need improving on surrounding ‘your’ skills and techniques in any of the activities undertaken.

Now you have completed your skills review you can make a start on your own personal progression. In this part of the process, you will decide upon how you are going to make changes on your chosen areas of improvement. You will then set your self targets and produce a completed personal development plan. Once you have worked towards these areas, you will review your progress and evaluate your performance.
