I went through Theme 9.pdf. The questions in this file are mainly about these four main topics: Gastrointestinal system (anatomy, physiology, pathology) — parts of the stomach, small and large intestines, blood supply, embryological origin, histology (e.g. villi, Paneth cells), functions such as absorption and micelle formation. Nutrition and Digestion — nutrient uptake (glucose, fat, salt), role of bile salts, pancreas and stomach acid, celiac disease and gluten-free diet. Stress, coping and illness experience — Lazarus' model, illness perceptions, coping strategies, relationship between anxiety and help-seeking behavior, type A/B/D personality. Aging & Cardiovascular/Lung — effects of age on lung and thoracic wall compliance, cardiac muscle contractility, cardiac output and demographic consequences of ageing. Nowadays, they no longer call this theme 9 - so take a look at which exam belongs to these topics from year 2 of the bachelor's degree in medicine at the University of Groningen.
