Male Reproductive System
• Testes: Site of sperm production and testosterone secretion.
• Epididymis: Stores sperm until ejaculation.
• Scrotum: Protects testes and maintains a temperature 2–3°C lower than body temperature for
sperm development.
• Sperm duct (Vas deferens): Transports sperm via peristalsis.
• Seminal vesicle & Prostate gland: Produce alkaline seminal fluid rich in nutrients for sperm survival
and motility.
• Urethra: Conducts semen and urine out of the body, controlled by muscles to prevent mixing.
If the urethra narrows → painful urination, difficult ejaculation, and infection risk.
