address ransomware threats: the “Network Access Control and Segmentation Policy” and the
“Threat Protection and Prevention Policy.”
Network Access Control and Segmentation Policy
The implementation of FortiGate 100 facilitated the adoption of a network access control and
segmentation policy by Bari Assist. This policy aims to restrict or prevent ransomware's entry
and lateral movement within the organization's network, leveraging the security features
provided by the NGFW. The deployment of FortiGate enables granular access controls, VLAN
segmentation, and zero-trust access.
Threat Protection and Prevention Policy
With FortiGate 100 in place, Bari Assist adopted a policy to prevent, limit, and mitigate
