The following portfolio will be focusing on organisational communication aspects of the organisation I observed, it will explore the definition of formal and informal networks as channels of communication and identify which communication channels are being used within the organisation, with the description of the flow of communication in general, followed by an organogram.
I will then differentiate between the three management approaches, identifying the principles of each approach and describing the nature of each approach. Which will help me in order to identify the management approach that is evident within the organisation that I am observing, along with the communication approach.
The differentiations of culture and organisational climate will be discussed as well as their separate definitions. I will then briefly discuss and provide examples of any five elements that exhibit organisational culture. Thereafter I will identify and critically discuss an internal communication problem within the organisation, proceeding with compiling a research proposal. The portfolio will end of with a diary entry, which will discuss the communication challenges and recommendations on how the organisation can improve their communication process.
