American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG): - ANS -- Provides guidelines for doctors to practice
\Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) - ANS -- Insurance for pregnant women
- Covers the baby through birth to 5 years old
- Although doctors can refuse to work with someone who uses AHCCCS
\Association of Women's Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) - ANS -- Provides guidelines for nursing

\Cephalic Pelvic Disproportion (CPD): - ANS -- Common reason why women have to have C-Section
\Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM): - ANS -Registered Nurses in disciplines of both nursing and midwifery
\Childbearing beliefs and practices: - ANS -- Communication

\Common Causes of Maternal Death: - ANS -1. Hypertensive Disorders

- Complications of anesthesia

\Community: - ANS -Refers to the geographical defined area; the residents; culture; religious aspects; and ethnic
characteristics
\Complications of birth: - ANS -- Parents have the right to sew the hospital within 18 years from birth.
\Delayed Bathing: - ANS -Recommended that the baby does not get bathed for 8 hours
- Babies are able to maintain their body temp better if they are bathed later
\Delayed Cord Clamping - ANS -- Allows for more blood to go to the baby- Higher blood volume
- Highly recommend!!
- Especially for premature babies: Decreased the blood transfusion need
\Failure to Rescue: - ANS -Failure to recognize or act on early signs of distress
