Task 1: Interprofessional Communication and Leadership in Healthcare Reflection
Part One: Working Style
For my Explore energy, my level of intensity was rated as Deliberate+. Excite energy was
rated Abundant+. Examine was measured as Deliberate+. Lastly, execute was rated Deliberate.
My first strength is my creativity. I scored highest in the “Explore” energy group in my
working style self- assessment. I tend to agree that I exhibit many of those characteristics. I do
, like to find creative solutions to problems. I also consider what consequences my actions will
have down the road. Another strength of mine is how I interact with others. In my 5 Dynamics
report I scored highest in Excite energy. I do try my best to make people laugh in all situations,
often at my own expense. I try to stay optimistic during tough times and prefer to share my
optimism with others. I also genuinely enjoy conversing with others and learning about their
interests.
One of my challenges is decision making. In my self-assessment I did score low in the
“Execute” energy group. I tend to see the positives and negatives in many viewpoints, and this
hinders my decision to make a concrete decision. While it can certainly be helpful to consider
all the aspects of decisions, it sometimes can delay the work. I feel like this also can at times
lead to procrastination. Which leads me into my next challenge which is procrastination.
