My LNMP was 11/19/17. I have had no spotting or bleeding since then. My cycles are
30 days apart. What is my EDD, using Naegele's Rule? - Answer-Naegele's Rule:
Subtract 3 months and add 7 days = 8/26/18
Since cycle length is 30 days, add 2 days to the EDD, giving an EDD of 8/28/18.

Shelley is seeing you for the first time and doesn't know when her due date is. Her LMP
was August 5, 2017 and very normal for her. This is her 3rd pregnancy. Her cycle is 29
days long. What is her EDD? - Answer-Naegele's Rule - Subtract 3 months and add 7
days = 5/12/18
Add 1 day for cycle length >28d. Final EDD = 5/13/18
Using an online calculator, gestational wheel, or the calendar may yield a slightly
different result (different by a day or two).

This client had an IUD removed on April 1st and subsequently had moderate bleeding
on and off for three days. They noticed some light bleeding on 5/19 and thought this
might be their normal menstrual cycle returning. When they began to experience chest
tenderness the last week in May they took a home pregnancy test and got a positive
result on 5/31. They remember having sex on 5/13. What is their EDD? - Answer-The
light bleeding on 5/19 was probably implantation bleeding. If it had been a menstrual
period, the client would not have chest tenderness associated with pregnancy until at
least mid-June. Also, the earliest that home pregnancy tests provide a positive result for
pregnancy is around 28d post-LMP. Let's assume that bleeding on 5/19 was
implantation bleeding, so around 10d after the "LMP". Use 5/9 as LMP. Using Naegele's
Rule, subtract 3 months and add 7 days to get 2/16 for EDD.
If you use the date of intercourse as conception date (CD), subtract 2 weeks to
determine "LMP," resulting in an "LMP" of 4/30. Using Naegele's Rule, this yields an
EDD of 2/7. This fits with the timing of chest tenderness and would provide a positive
pregnancy test in late May.
Use clinical signs to determine which date to use.
