A) Discuss how an organization’s diversity strategy can support the business strategy.
Provide at least three specific examples and explain why and how they support
organizational success.
In today’s modern world it is imperative for all organizations to have a business strategy
that includes a well-thought-out diversity plan to attain greater strategic success. The first
part should include a well-developed training program to cultivate the type of diverse,
multicultural, and inclusive organizational environment that it should be (UMGC, 2023,
“Week 2: Human Resource Management Issues Chapter 10,” p. 201). Human Resources
would be influential in creating this type of diverse multicultural environment, which would
lead to increased hiring, better reputation, and greater retention of personnel for the
organization to continue to thrive and succeed (UMGC, 2023, “Week 2: Cases in Human
Resource Management Chapter 3,” p. 14). This type of combined strategy will take
advantage of the new personnel hired with varied experiences and alternate perspectives to
create new innovations for the organization (UMGC, 2023, “Week 2: HRMN 300 Text
Chapter 3,” p. 5). Then the organization will be able to connect to a more diverse customer
base through cultural understandings, multiple languages, and better communications which
will create more opportunities for sales or use of services for greater profits toward the
