Beschreven wordt de osteotomie van de mandibula vlg. Obwegeser-Dal Pont.
Bij een sagittale splijtingsosteotomie wordt de ramus mandibula zo doorgenomen dat het daarna
mogelijk is de onderkaak naar voren te schuiven, enigszins te roteren en indien nodig ook naar
achteren verplaatsen.
Nadat de gewenste positie is bereikt, worden de botdelen gefixeerd met schroefjes of met
osteosyntheseplaten en osteosyntheseschroeven.

Mandibulaire hypoplasie
Mandibulaire hyperplasie

Doel van de operatie:
De mandibula ten opzichte van de maxilla in de juiste positie
plaatsen.
