Societal Corporatism Perspective

 Emphasis on consensus-building
 Conflict is natural and must be managed through negotiations
 Coordination with the state involvement and direction

Pluristic Perspective

 Trade unions are integral to the organisations
 Trade unions are expected to protect and represent the interest of the workers

 Conflicts is viewed as unavoidable but functional if managed by structures and procedures.

Unitary Perspective

 The constitutional rights of trade unions are down played.
 Trade unions perceived as outside intruders

 Conflict must be managed by means of coercion
 Conflict viewed as unnecessary and irrational



Marxist Perspective

 Capitalism will fall and be replaced by socialism
 Unequal division between capital and labour
 Conflict is inherent in the organisation and in the general society
