What is Conformity?

-3 types of conformity:

1. Comp iance: outward conformity
2. Obedience: comp iance to an exp icit command
3. Acceptance: inward conformity

-Sherif’s Study of Norm Formaton seeing a ight move

and another person was brought in. the person that heard the confederate inflated the estmate
as we and it kept going to that these peop e were unwitng conspirators in a perpetuatng a
