Unit 14 P6

Describe the diference policies of remuneraton adopted in a selecton business organisaton p6

Remuneraton is the method of payment or compensaton received for the services of employment
they are contracted to. this is an efectve eay of giving out remuneraton because it motvates the
employees to do eell and create more output for the business. This can include:

 annual bonuses
 pensions
 increased holiday pay
 additonal hour reeards
 discount cards

One method that Tesco uses to remuneraton is by giving employees annual bonuses. For example,
this is an efectve eay of giving out remuneraton because it motvates the employees to do eell
and create more output for the business. Annual bonuses are additonal money paid to an employee
or employee as a reeard for achieving specifc goals or hitng programmed target, if employees
eere not to get reearded, it more likely for them do create less output. Furthermore, In Tesco,
Tesco uses pension scheme to remunerate their employees for doing good in ehat they did for the
business. Pension is a regular payment made by the state to people of or above the ofcial
retrement age. Tesco makes sure that the employees that eork for Tesco for 1 years or more eill
be eligible for Tesco’s pension scheme ehich is good because it motvates their employees to eork
for Tesco a long period of tme for them.

In Tesco, increase holiday pay is also used; this is ehen employee get paid more amount of money
than they are supposed during their holiday for not eorking. For example, some employees may get
£3 more each hour for their good eork in Tesco, this £3 eill be added eith their regular pay and the
amount of hours they usually eork in a day. If the employee is getng 1 eeek of than they eill get
£3 added extra eith their hourly pay and tmes it eith the amount of days, they took holiday in.
Overall this encourages the employees to do eell in their eork feld.

Furthermore, Tesco uses additonal hour aeards pay to encourage their eorkers. For example, ehen
employees do eell in their area of eork, Tesco recognises their hard eork and gives them a pay
increase and give them extra hours to do their jobs. Giving employees extra hours and more pay
encourage them to stay in the business.

Another eay to give back to their employees because of their hard eork is by giving them discount
cards. For example, discount cards are given to the employees afer 6 month of eork in Tesco, the
discount card consist of 1 % of ofer on every items in Tesco and this is exclusively for employees
only , this is to encourage employees to shop in Tesco and do their groceries , this encouraging
employees to do eell and stay for a longer in the business and eork for Tesco ehich at the same
tme is also encouraging them to buy all these goods and services from Tesco , this also benefts
Tesco In a short run.

Another type of remuneraton that Tesco ofer is employee of the year scheme ehich is a scheme
that alloes them to get diferent types of bonuses like trips to France or America. For example, the
employee of the year takes place every year to encourage their hard eork and dedicaton for the
business that they eork for. The nominaton can have diferent rules and procedures, in Tesco the
employee is nominated by their atendance and their punctuality in their eork feld and not being
punctual could hinder them from getng the yearly aeard.
