Summary Kinetic particle theory
This comprehensive and concise chemistry guide contains all you need to know before an exam or test on the second chapter of the CIE 2017-2019 syllabus, The particulate nature of matter. This is part one of the syllabus content for this chapter, focusing on the kinetic model of matter. A description of the 3 states of matter is provided as well as an explanation of their interconversions in terms of the kinetic particle theory. The topic of diffusion in liquids and gases are also elaborated using experimental setups. Finally, the effects of temperature and pressure on volumes of gases are explained and stated qualitatively. This study guide is actually an adapted version of my own notes (to the current syllabus), that led me to an A* back in 2010. Feel free to ask me any questions and participate in polls on Twitter @ZeeTheBiologist for me to know what you want to see next (study guides, possible questions, worked solutions or anything). Good luck!
