The material covered in these notes covers all necessary information in order to pass the final exam for NAUI's Scuba Diver course. Passing this course enables you to move on to the open water portion of the course which is entirely up to the diver trainee's own ability to demonstrate his or her own capability to perform a dive safely.
Once you have completed the open water portion you will then be a licensed scuba diver and certified to dive in conditions similar to the ones from your open water dive with your instructor. After being certified at the beginner level you may move on to Advanced Diver, Dive First Aid, Rescue Diver, Dive Master, and Specialty diving or Technical diving courses.
Under no circumstance is this document a suitable substitute for a complete working knowledge of the information contained in this file and the ability to perform under all conditions expected of open water certification prospects. You must be a licensed diver or current student with the presence of an instructor to conduct any diving.
