You are a consultant psychologist who has been invited by an Umhlanga Growth and
Development Centre (GDC) to help in the hiring of a Senior Social Worker. The board
members have narrowed down their prospects and have requested that an interview
questionnaire be provided in order to evaluate the applicants in terms of the particular
requirements for the post.
The GDC is a non-profit organization that provides excellent programs to help
disadvantaged kids. Their primary goal and aim is to remove the difficulties and restrictions
that impede children from discovering and shining their light. The GDC is searching for a
responsible worker who is willing to work in accordance with the GDC's principles and goals.
This role necessitates more than just the required skills and expertise; it necessitates an
understanding of and a genuine desire to aid the community. They will be expected to
evaluate children, youth, and families both as people and as members of a wider system.
The Senior Social Worker will need to operate in the homes of families in order to build and
develop them as a network and as an important component of their community. One of
their responsibilities is to supervise the Social Work teams, thus they must be able to work
alone as well as an active team member, demonstrating adaptability. Because of the nature
and setting of this work, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as
maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual variations, are essential.
Finally, they should demonstrate dedication to the organization's and the community's
vision, beliefs, and goals. A psychological interview is required to evaluate candidates for
the position of Senior Social Worker at a Development Center. The main goal of the
interview is to see if the applicant has an innate passion for nurturing the community,
providing servant leadership by integrating various role-players in any situation, being
responsive to the needs and values the input of others, both experienced and
inexperienced, and having the ability to accept and motivate others.
The interview questions will be based on two personality theories, the Ecosystemic
Approach and the Eastern Perspective, to best determine applicants' fit for this role and
evaluate their ability to function in a broader system. The Ecosystemic Approach's
Importance Individuals who help people in need identify social work as a way to effect social
change, empower and free others, and improve well-being. They provide services in a wide
range of disciplines, including community development, youth programs, and family
welfare, and they intervene where people connect with the environment.

The ecosystemic approach recognizes that everything in nature is interdependent and
connected to everything else in a complicated but systematic fashion, and it aims to explain
human functioning by concentrating on people working as a part of a broader system or
