Renaissance man/ uomo universalis= a person who has wide interests and is expert in
several areas. -> In modern time= James Bond, Iron Man, Winston Churchill. In
Renaissance= Leonardo da Vinci, Henry VIII

Thomas more:

Henry VIII
- Was a Renaissance Man (intelligent, composer, educated, spoke many languages
etc). Loved to read and write and loved art and culture and brought many artists from
mainland to court
- Thomas More was his mentor
- Legacy: fact that he had 6 wives and founded the Anglican church (church of
England) because the Pope wouldn’t grant hi a divorce
