1.2. As an educator, demonstrate how you would deal with anger
constructively. (10)
When faced with a frustrating or anger-producing situation, one can either
avoid the situation, deal with the situation destructively, constructively, or even
change one’s attitude. An emotionally intelligent educator needs to be aware
and equipped to handle his or her own anger.
As an educator you can:
a) Becoming aware of, and acknowledging their anger
b) Choosing to pause and select a constructive way of dealing with their
anger
c) Determining whether their anger is appropriate or inappropriate
d) Accepting that they alone can manage their thinking, emotions and
behaviour
e) Consulting their list of calming thoughts
f) Handling the situation in a more appropriate way.

Analyse how you would apply management functions to teaching and learning
in the classroom. (20)
Planning is a function which determines in advance what learning must be
achieved at a specified time in the future and how this will be achieved. It is
the point of departure for the classroom manager. (Practical examples as
applied in the classroom: planning resources, planning the physical
arrangement of the classroom, planning time in the classroom, planning
assessment, planning for diversity in the classroom, planning for active
learning in the classroom, planning the management of poor progress and
barriers to learning, planning class work and homework.)
