child is quite significant. This is the time to get a healthy routine started and adjust to the
new life in the household. Having both parents around the child, can make a difference in
how the child is raised. This is only possible if the mother and father get equel paternity

First of all, if men take paternity leave, it will help support women in their workplace.
Women will be more likely to return to their work plus the fact that the fathers will be more
involved with their kids and be active caretakers as well as the mother. After birth the
mother can become emotionally and physically fatigiued, so the father will take the
important role of taking care of the mother as well as the child.
Secondly, the father can, just like the mother, experience al lot of stress and tension in the
days around the birth of their child. For example if the father is working at the office while
his wife is in labour, it causes a great amount of stress. As a result of that his concentration
on his work will reduce and with that the quality of his work. Having a baby will change your
life and you need to get used to it.
However, you can say that the father is not the one carrying the baby for nine months and
then also giving birth. So they do not have as hard of a time as the mother does with the
recovery time. Some people might even say they don’t have the same rights as the mother.
On the contrary, the father might not have the physical pain but emotionally he does have a
hard time. He also has to take care of the mother which is not easy but very important next
to taking care of the baby.
Summaring, it is important for the father to build up a bond during the first few weeks after
birth. In addition to that, it can make a difference in the upbringing of the child. But not only
is the child important, so is the mother and her health. Having a child and taking care of the
