Oregon SB 579 addresses the 15-day waiting period (between the initial and follow- up request) required for the voluntary administration of lethal medication. Oregon SB 579 waives this 15-day waiting period for patients who request lethal medication and the patient’s physician has concluded the patient will die within 15 days of the request.
