Lesson outcomes :by the end of the lesson the learners be able to design and make facial masks
.The learners will be able to apply technological processes and skills of making ,evaluating
,communicating and investigating
Teaching media:power point presentation and projector based on content from the learners
textbook (grade 9 platinum technology)
• The teacher will also provide ,pictures and object to make learners to understand easily
Pre-knowledge of learners :I will ask question to check if the learners have basic understanding of
what covid-19 is and will ask how can one get the virus and how can you prevent the virus from
spreading
• Get the learners understanding of why everyone must wear the mask

b) Theoretical background of the project to your learners
grade 9 technology learners must design and make facial mask under covid 19 and since communities
and schools were affected by covid-19 virus this year and a lot of people lost their lives, everyone is
required to wear a face mask especially in public. Learners must consider comfort, disposal and
disinfection among others when choosing the fabric to use learners have to show the process of making
facial masks.
c) The first step of the technological process for the project
this question is asking what are you expecting your learners to do
• Design and make a facial mask to minimize the spread of covid-19 by using simple material
d) Problem that must be solved
this question is asking what are the challenges you and your learners going facing when doing
designing that facial mask and the materials they are going to use
• The real problem is not the mask but to design and make facial masks that are affordable and
comfortable since everyone has to wear a mask.
