NRS 493 Topic 5 DQ 1 Stakeholder support is necessary for a successful project implementation. Consider your internal stakeholders, such as the facility, unit, or health care setting where the change proposal is being considered, and your external stakeholders, like an individual or group outside the health care setting. Why is their support necessary to the success of your change proposal, and how you will go about securing that support? Stakeholder holder support is absolutely essential for the successful actualization of a project. Those stakeholders are in positions to be able to lend help to facilitate goals. My immediate stakeholder is my preceptor who is a PHN, Nurse Manager, and Clinical Research Investigator. This means that she has a lot of reach in the sense that she, in this case, she is the center of my social capital. Through her, I believe I can reach other stakeholders as well. As an internal stakeholder she holds intimate knowledge of not just the facility but the community she oversees. She knows and keeps abreast of the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and the community. The facility she works for has been organizing webinars to teach the community about several health promotion topics. This is a great opportunity for me to reach out to the community (external stakeholders). I have to ensure that the goals of my project align with the needs of the community.
