Define each of the following:
a) Variable.
A variable is a particular measurable attribute that a researcher believes is needed to describe the
element in a study. A variable can be categories in groups such as people, geographical areas and
numerical information.Sometimes one variable is needed and in other studies there are many variables.
b) Observation.
Observation is all the information collected for each element in a study.
c) Data Set.
This is a collection of information that contains various categories of information which was gathered for
a specific study.
