Topic 1 DQ 2 Rather than running their information technology (IT) functions in-house, some companies choose to use cloud computing or outsource their IT functions. Why would a company choose to use cloud computing or outsource its IT functions? In your explanation, be sure to include how the two alternatives differ and why a company might choose one alternative over the other. In your response, do not use the same reasons for outsourcing that have already been posted by a classmate. A "True Cloud" solution...I did not come across anything like that. That's interesting, but you are right in that I did read quite a bit how they make the company fairly reliable on the service provider, which I did not like and they are not always readily available. Using a "fake" vendor is another I did not find...Wow, it just gets better and better (sarcasm) in that! I do agree that if one has truly done the research and knows, as well as is prepared for the Cloud, then by all means go for it! If they are maybe a small Mom & Pop, or just getting started....They sky is the limit! But, personally I think I am still all about good ole' keep mine locked up! Any thoughts?
