BUS 520 Assignment 2 Professional Development Program Proposal
Emotional Intelligence and Motivation As an MBA and leader, I will propose a development training program. This program will be the focus of a new incentive program within the company I’ve chosen while is Starbucks. There have been current events that has seriously took the layout of the organization in another direction in a negative way. This type of issue affects productivity, sometimes it also places issues in managements lap to deal with. Nonetheless, Starbucks have demonstrated high growth within an organization which has been the highest recommended coffee in the organization in this industry. I will discuss a proposal that is going to center around the focal points based on an EI management approach. This approach will include the following components of fostering teamwork, strengthen interpersonal relationships, enhancing communication, and increasing overall performance of Starbuck’s organization. Overall in order to gain the CEO’s approval for the initiative, this program’s proposal is going to be supported with the ramification of supporting ideas on how motivational strategies enhance job satisfaction 2nd team output. The EI building block that would impact management’s ability to enhance employee performance and job satisfaction within Starbucks company is motivation which is the ability to work attentive with purpose. The core building blocks of emotional intelligence at Starbucks has always provided a great work environment and treating employees with respect is the number one mission of the organization. As task force leader, researching emotional intelligence (EI) contains how it is vital for leaders to succumb to becoming interpersonal with their employees gaining confident relationships that are essential and relevant to success in each of the managerial activities and role that will set precedence throughout the Starbucks organization (Uhl-Bien, Schermerhorn, & Osborn, 2014). ...................................CONTINUED.......................
