Summary

Henry is an Indian male, age 17, who is currently living in the Juhu neighborhood of

urban Mumbai with his older brother, Salim. He identified that he has been having trouble

focusing and has not been able to sleep or is calling out during his nightmares. He also reports

that he is very fearful of even walking near a police station and states that he would change

, directions to avoid walking near police. Henry reports that these symptoms have been occurring

since his appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? which was approximately 3 weeks prior

to assessment.

Henry was orphaned as a child after his mother was murdered and his father abandoned

him and his brother shortly after Henry’s birth. Henry and his brother do not have any further

family support. Henry and his brother grew up in poverty, and until Henry was 7 years old, the

two moved between government facilities. Because of these shared experiences, Henry and

Salim are very close. Henry’s mother was murdered during an anti-Muslim rampage within the

family’s Mumbai neighborhood. Henry reports that he does not remember his mother or father,

since he was parentless shortly after birth. Henry also has a close relationship with Latika, his

former girlfriend and sexual partner. who has recently become involved in the Mumbai gangs.

To contact Latika, he participates on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? There were no significant

concerns regarding Henry’s sexual relationship with Latika.

Henry attended school when he was living between government facilities and group

homes, but he has not attended in recent years due to the need to provide for himself and his

brother. Since Henry was 7, he has worked in sweat shops, prostituted himself, and engaged in

robbery in order to earn money to survive in Mumbai with his brother. Henry appears satisfied

with his work-ethic and seems uninterested in returning to school to complete his education

despite earning above average scores prior to dropping out in the first grade. He appears to be

able to seek out employment but has minimal ability to maintain consistent employment.

Henry has no significant history of mental health treatment. He has attended two

counseling sessions through the Center for Enlightenment. This began after his brother began

noticing significant changes in Jamal’s mood and affect. Henry has been experiencing insomnia
