1. Types of Cells
a. Prokaryote: Bacteria, Archaea
i. Single-celled organisms
1. No true nucleus -> DNA in Nucleoid Region
2. No membrane-bound organelles
a. Contain flagella/cilli(for movement)
b. Contains a cell wall
3. Very loosely organized
Structures:
● Cell Wall: structural support
● Cell Membrane: exchanges nutrients &
waste
● Nucleoid Region: contains genetic
material
● Ribosomes: makes proteins
● Flagella: provides movement
● Pili: used to attach to surfaces
