• How about my Copyrights when I upload documents on to Stuvia?
  You always keep your Copyrights as the creator of the work. It's your work, and you'll stay in control what happens with the document. Furthermore, you'll never agree to some freaky contract while using Stuvia. It's a Marketplace, which enables to sell or share your study material with other students (see copyrights for more information).
• How do you prevent that people start downloading documents and uploading it right away in their own name, to make money themselves?
  As a document is uploaded by a user, it first goes through a Plagirism scan on our server. That scan shows whether a document is already available on Stuvia and if someone is abusing the platform. Also, below the document viewer with every document on Stuvia you can report abuse.
• Why should I share my study material, I've worked hard for it, and do not easily give that to some lazy ass students?
  Understandable. However, you could also see it the other way around. How about someone sharing material you could use? At the end of the day, if anyone is sharing we all become better students. Besides, when selling you study material you earn cash!

• How much money can I ask for a document?
  Stuvia isn't interfered with any of the price settings within the platform. It's all about the users to decide. They will choose the price and create their own economy within Stuvia. So, to answer the question: ask as much as you believe your document is worth.
• When do you guys pay off?
  Every Monday morning we pay out users that have decided to withdraw their money from Stuvia. The minimum payout is €10,-. Be sure to provide your bankaccount!
• What do I earn per download?
  When uploading a document and setting your price, your earnings per download are generated real-time. You pay a transaction fee of €0,5 and a standardized commission to the platform.
  
  Keep in mind, it's not about the lousy €0,80 cents per download but whether the mass is going to download your document. Is your document downloaded a 100 or maybe 200 times, you earn simply around a €100,- by just watching! That's a lot of pints really ;)
• Am I obliged to ask money for my study material?
  No, certainly not. You can choose whether you would like to share your documents for free or to sell them. If you're smart, you combine those two a little. By sharing freely and selling documents you give other students more trust and which eventually lead to more purchases.
• What's with the discount?
  Buyers sometimes get a discount. Of course, the discount is payed for by Stuvia and will not affect the earnings of the seller(s)!

• I've paid, but didn't get my document! What can I do?
  Please, let us know by email and we make sure you get your document ASAP!
• What happened to the Virtual Wallet?
  Due to changes in the financial regulation the Virtual Wallet has been canceled as of July 1st. If you have deposited money on your Virtual Wallet and would like to withdraw it, we're happy to help you. Please send us a message through our contact form.
• Which pay methods are available when purchasing a document via Stuvia?
  Right now, Stuvia is focused mainly on serving students in The Netherlands. Therefore, we only offer iDeal and PayPal as paying methods. As soon as we'll expand to other countries, more payment methods will be added.

• How do I change my profile settings?
  By logging in to your profile, go to your personal settings and easily start changing your personal information.
• What happens with all of my personal information within my profile?
  This information will be treated with proper care. Moreover, you can always choose to change your information or remove your settings. For more information on this topic you can read the Privacy statement.
• I would like to change my username, is that possible?
  Unfortunately, we have to disappoint you on this one. Your username is leading to all of your settings. The only way of changing your username is to remove your profile and start all over again. All other settings, you can easily adjust within your personal settings.
• How can I remove my profile?
  Are you sure you would like to remove your profile? By doing so, you lose all of your settings, uploads, and downloads. If you're really sure, you can go to your personal settings and remove your profile by two clicks.

• What's the extension of the document after I downloaded it?
  A document, generally, is offered as a PDF. However, we will not change Powerpoint-presentations or other unlogical file extensions to PDF.
• I've uploaded a document, but it's not yet presented on Stuvia. Why?
  After uploading your document, it first has to be generated as a PDF, so your document can be put into the viewer. Also, your uploaded document is automatically checked by our Plagiarism scan.
  
  This could take some time, depending on the occupation of our server. We assure you that the document will be presented ASAP!
• What can I do when my document's preview is ugly as hell?
  That's too bad. There is not much we could do. You could change your extension by converting it and uploading it again. Moreover, it has nothing to do with your original document. It would be smart to let you potential buyers know, by noting this in your document description.
• As soon as I downloaded a document, is it allowed to exchange the document with others?
  No! You aren't the Copyright owner of that document. In other words, you commit a crime by doing so. It's only allowed to use the documents for personal use.
• Is it allowed to download a document and then upload it again on Stuvia, but now with my name attached to it?
  No! It's not THAT easy to make money. Stealing documents is seen as direct plagiarism and will be noticed by our plagiarism scan. Your profile and documents will immediately be removed from the platform.
